So basically some time ago there was a post about what would you do if suddenly you woke up tomorrow and every single human being had just vanished but you.

Loved that thread and haven't seen any ever since.

Let's say all nuclear plants shut down safely, and electricity and water just shut down as they would without anyone there to maintain.

What would you guys do?

Grab my pack and walk down to the river, pick a house with a fireplace and chill. By spring I'd have to go grab some seeds to grow a few things. In between planting season and harvesting season I'd use the extra time to construct a monument to the loss of all humanity, well... except Trump; it was probably his fault anyway.

For the first few months I would probably just wandering around trying to find the best alcohol to drink.

After I got bored with that I would start burning down a lot of buildings of people/organizations I didn't like.

Finally once I was bored with that I would start leaving clues and messages all over the country that would hopefully lead whatever alien civilization to a single point in my country. I would try to make it done sorry of really difficult and convoluted trail for them to follow that would take weeks or even months to follow. All messages would speak to finding the ultimate wealth of knowledge and power of our lost race.

Finally when they get to the end, all they'll find is a small room with an intricately crafted mural of me fucking their mother in the ass (I'll make sure to leave as much detail as possible to explain it to them) and they'll see my dead corpse in the corner flipping them the bird.

I would make some stops along the way, for example, visit all the places I couldn't like ft Knox and military bases. Of course I would do it my way. I would probably just visit places like a nuclear silo and find the presidents nuclear football before the power went off and have fun with that. Of course I'd shoot and drive tanks, blow up big fuel tanks like in video games, do illegal shit, c4 the statue if liberty and shoot every gun in existence and do other awesome shit till I died of my own stupidity or starvation

I'd acquire as many supplies as I could conceivably use in a lifetime, and find a van that runs on diesel (gas apparently is only good for a year, but diesel is basically good forever). I'm not really a tinfoil hat guy, but if I had to put my money on it, anything real crazy probably isn't at Area 51. With all the media exposure on that place, they would probably have the shit at Edwards or that place in Ohio or some other non-descript building in some suburb that is owned by a government contractor. Like where I used to live, we had a couple Northrop Grumman buildings in a small industrial area and they did some missile guidance and radar stuff there and you would never guess they do anything important there until you cut through their parking lot and get surrounded by security with some big guns.

That's not really the problem. The problem is all the spent fuel rod pools that are still cooling. They will boil off their water then ignite, spewing forth columns of radioactive smoke all over the USA and Europe.

Barring that, I'd probably do what I always do; Farming. I may try an uplift program with dolphins. I'd also try to encode as much information about humanity into long term storage mediums. Like laser etching the moon or engraving diamonds.

I remember this from a TV show. I think it was called something like "if there were no humans" or "life after humanity" or some shit like that. Definitely psuedo-factual fantasy, so probably on "History" channel.

I am not sure how I would know I was the last, I would probably figure if I was saved, there would probably be others. I would probably spend my time searching for other people. At least during good weather. I would find a good place with lots of supplies and shelter to winter up.

I don't think I am going to need a huge stock pile of weapons if I am the last person. A few hunting weapons and a pile of ammo perhaps.
