I use Bulk Rename Utility on windows. It looks super complicated but its pretty quick n easy to use.
If its not possible for you im sure theres thousands of alternatives on Windows or Mac or whatever just look up "mass file rename program" or something

You don't need to bother with renaming, you shouldn't be copying to a folder then importing that folder
Let lightroom handle the import for you and it can make it's own folders, you took an unnecessary step and made an unnecessary issue from it
Once in lightroom, you can just rename as needed when exporting

The overarching answer to most of your points, is that the userbase of /p/ is maybe 30% people who actually own a camera, and the remaining faggots come here to whine and bitch for one reason or another. There is a significant overlap in that venn diagram, which creates these shitstorms where people can escape the double decker dicked nophoto problem by posting their smeariest snapshits and somehow that validates a retaded opinion.

I wish there was an easier way to post RAWs and discuss post-processing. All you get is people lining up to whinge about OOC colours or useless retards that will be the first to say you're shit at processing, but then offer no insight or suggestions.

Lastly, people here are sometimes just straight up cunts for no good reason. Instead of lifting ourselves up and trying to encourage better photography, there's six active threads about gear and why yours is bad and mine is good.

Camera color science is a fact, it's not presets or jpegs. It's the first thing you learn when you process raws and have two cameras at the same time if you didn't already figure out the obvious (lenses filter and diffuse color, camera CFAs all let different wavelengths through, AA filters increase pixel crosstalk and mess with colors because the actual color is guessed from adjacent pixels, etc

while the statistical deviations after calibrating cameras with an xrite CC24 target and software like lumariver or whatever davinci resolve does are small there is still a visible differences especially in brighter hues like reds and caucasian skin tones because the human eye is more sensitive to color differences than charts can effectively communicate. increasing the swatch count does not make a dramatic visible difference.

different cameras will always be different therefore people will argue about which camera is best
this was less of a big deal with film because every camera could accept almost every lens and sensors were interchangeable, but with digital, bad design decisions from snoy especially will always be contentious because people pay $2000 to be stuck with them forever

People now days want SOOC without any extra effort, can't afford $10/mo to even have software or figure out the free alternatives, the few times that processing threads pop up, hardly anyone participates
People are too retarded to figure out darktable, no chance they can understand anything beyond a "LUT"
Most people with knowledge are too afraid to post photos here anyways

True, same goes for lenses (which no one really talks about lens color), and you can find professionals in every field putting out pro work with all kinds of bodies and brands
Different cameras be different, but it's only as big a problem as you want to make it, doesn't really matter at the end of the day

Doesn't seem to matter at all for processed images, beyond "but I don't want to do any processing at all"
Doesn't seem to matter when blind SOOC studies are done, and people prefer brands you might not expect

Most of his reviews have something in them that is obviously fucked up or meant to skew the viewers opinion non-factually.

You sound like a snoy coper. Snoys just require inordinate effort to fix colors because the mount is too small, the sensor glass is too thick, and their lens coatings are too neutral and something in the pipeline destroys luminance variations in beiges. A lot of data is lost or mixed up before the sensor even shits out the numbers - and sony post-processes that inf before it even becomes a raw file. Can't turn off hot pixel reduction on sony, vignetting correction whacks raw files on sony. It sucks.

Sony charges a lot of money to have tolerable colors (and almost APS-C tier noise levels on the a7iv, a7rv, mft on the a9ii) all in the name of some gay crutches. I have a feeling that by 2028, if institutional contracts are excluded sony will have <15% market share.

I had to bite the bullet with C1 because Adobe just went full ghey. I wish the db was faster (but LR sucks there too) and I miss the Abobe (tm) workflow but the color rendering is fantastic.

Sensor wise for sure. Build quality, not a chance. I would rather learn on a body that I can bang around a bit. When you develop proper technique and upgrade to a bag (or carry system ala black rapid) then upgrade. Same goes for lenses. Get second hand metal lenses from KEH or Adorama before hopping on Amazon.

All of them? I shoot every day and use my cameras to failure. Best built cameras I ever used were d200 and d700. Honorable mention for d850.

lumix, multiple sony rx100, nikon d7000 and d7200, and a d600 all failed.

I have had 3 (old school) bodies over 500k shutter.

A Z# should survive anything a D200 could except a purposeful attempt to break the lens mount free of the body

On the other hand D200s and D300s only have 3 (maybe 4) usable ISO settings and are really just $75 beginners cameras now
