If a company releases a sub-par product with a design flaw that makes it lag way behind the competition (sony has had bright monitoring and automatically opened the aperture for AF like, last century) they deserve all the shit they get

Imagine charging as much as they do for cameras, and lagging significantly behind sony, and your own DSLRs live view. JFC. The early nikon mirrorless belong on an "avoid" list. Just because you can make it work with a lot of effort and missed shots, doesn't mean you should waste your time and money.

An EM1 is a nice combination of price, build quality, autofocus, size and lens selection, at the cost of equivalent aperture and sensor size (thus high ISO performance and picture quality). The end. That camera is stupid expensive, considering it's a straight downgrade of the D800 (which is cheaper).
If you don't want to shell out for a D800, a D600 or D610 can be had relatively cheap. See

hey guys. I have a few stupid questions.

1. what's the best easiest cheapest way to capture composite video? I have a few tape cams and have one of those awful aliexpress capture cards but they don't deinterlace properly and I will only be using composite.

2. I have a quick enough computer but lightroom classic edition is dog shit slow when I import like 10k sony alpha raws. is there any actually usable lightroom alternatives? I have a fast computer but the 5 sec delay between even skimming through photos is turning me mental. I already did all the fasten up lightroom steps I could find. it's not this arcane, it's just focusing on the leaves in front instead of my owl even though the leaves are outside the boundary of the AF boxes. I skimmed the fucking manual and there doesnt seem to be an option to only focus on things within the indicated little boxes

It's site wide. I can't remember when they started stripping exif from images but /p/ was the only board that allowed it afterwards and only then if you manually stripped location data if present. I would think it would be trivial to automate but the admin are seriously tech illiterate as we all know now.

So, what's the best way to clean a sensor when you're on the field? During my hikes, I always use a Lenspen sensorklear. Never had a problem with it, but many people say you should avoid touching the sensor as much as possible.
Meanwhile I touch it with this pen like every day.

Sensor is under a stack of filters and glass. I use blower and if needed, disposable dry sensor swab with a drop of residue free alcohol. (I find the fluid in wet swabs bit too plentiful.) If your gadget does the job for you it should be fine as long it's clean.
