I put in the film and use some frosted class behind of it to get it flat - normal glass is going to give you newton rings.
Usually I use static tissues to clean the film before scanning. Don't mind the dust and hair in this one, have to rescan.
After scanning all negatives seperately and doing some "contact sheet" for the folder I saved the individual files into, I import the folder in lightroom and do PP.
