>>3406426Oh yeah, the 6x17 is super sturdy. But still, exposures are long so you'll be fighting the moving vegetation thing still. Honestly, a solid 4x5 like a Toyo can really handle some wind without wiggling unless its crazy wind. It's a bitch to use them though, holding the darkcloth and whatnot.
>>3406429Keep wandering around, almost every landscape has a story to tell no matter how mundane it might seem. Sometimes shooting close to home has the advantage that you really gain intimate knowledge about the area, you learn all the ins and outs of the history, landscape, and what makes it special (even if it doesn't seem to be that way on the surface). And sometimes yes, it does come down to finding the best compositions with what's available.
