>>3413706This is the unfortunate truth. People can't care about you if they've never heard of you. To be heard about takes hard work, personality, connections, money, marketing and to some degree talent. You need work worth talking about or recommending to others too.
Social media levels the playing field so you don't need to go outside to meet people anymore but you still need to "put in appearances" like you would in the past, otherwise you're basically screaming about your work in the middle of the woods where no one can hear you rather than in a crowded room where people are listening and willing to engage.
