>>3307359There aren't that many differences between the 70's to 80's SLRs to matter to anyone besides the hard line autists and seasoned shooters who know exactly what specific features they need. I recommend Minolta because of their excellent control setup (the XG-9 is a great starter SLR that will get you far), but you can pick anything from that era from Pentax, Minolta, Canon, Nikon, Olympus etc. and you'll be just dandy. The important thing is to pay attention to the condition of the camera (and lens) before committing to it. Check light seals, shutter and mirror operation, lens aperture operation, make sure there's no fungus on the elements etc.
