But I do think it depends on what you're shooting. If you're shooting portraits, then I would probably say that you need good autofocus. But if you're shooting landscapes, I'd say you shouldn't be using autofocus at all, it should be all manual focus. So if that's the case, it shouldn't be an issue at all.
And yes, you would be able to use your canon lenses on the a7. But once again, you need to be careful in making sure that you actually have full frame lenses because you might not be able to use all of them when you go to full frame.
