Well, he fired the last FBI guy investigating him (Comey) and admitted on National TV that he fired him over the Russian Investigation, which was a departure from his previous statements. So maybe it might of be over by now if that did not happen. But you have to catch smaller fish to get bigger ones. Mueller also has no time limits either. Should point out that Clinton was investigated for like 5-6 years when he was President so this is nothing new.
