>>3295064Milky way is not that hard to see (though it's difficult to really get right), so if you just want to see stuff, anything will do. I've just learned that lightroom panorama mode can be used for astro (always thought it's bit of crazy idea since night sky moves a lot). Quick 3x4 snapshit from home balcony, canon 50mm lens, f/2.0, i live close to medium sized city. More than a lens, you need a good place (and my balcony is not particularly good place).
Anyway, check out panorama mode if you have some good narrow lens. I've just discovered it and i'm in awe, i can do lots of cool stuff now.
