>>4004759Flaring can be affected by the mechanical shutter curtain. Switching to electronic means the resulting flare can be different (mostly less flaring which is likely "better" in most cases). For bokeh, it's mostly an issue with EFCS, rather than just the electronic shutter. Pic related, only difference is EFCS being on/off.
In both cases, it's mostly an issue when using fast lenses at fast shutter speeds (faster than 1/1000). Pretty sure some cameras even include warnings in the manual about using EFCS in those circumstances.
