>>3753810>I have no major complaints. This fits well within into this genre of work. What do you intend do with it? A well sequenced book could be satisfying if you could find good accompanying text.Material for future books, collective regional material portrait of the same stretch of rural Alabama that Walker Evans and Co documented a century ago.
I'm really interested in repetition of motifs and themes, and using photography to convey change over time, ala William Christenberry (a huge influence on me, with much of his subject matter being conveniently near me. Pic related.)
https://www.blurb.com/b/10322287-truth is an example of one of my little proto-booklets, but I don't expect to really be able to publish my work as intended for years still; need more time to convey the time.
>>3753811>A lot of head-on perspective. So much that I find myself missing at least partially abstract ideas. And I do ask myself how many different perspectives you had to choose from. The colors are nice and there are some very interesting compositions, especially when it's farther away.It's very intentional, my work is sort of intended to be viewed in mass, typologies of sorts. I like the idea of seas of similar-yet-different photos.
I play with my individual compositions a lot more with work that's intended for singular viewing, music stuff for example, but I haven't been doing a lot of that this year for fairly obvious reasons.
You can play around with my wall of imagery concept some on my dinky little site by refreshing the randomize page;
