Last night i played with the camera some more (after the camera repairman said it was a sensor hardware issue and needed to be sent to Nikon). At that time, it was taking only slightly glitched photos like picrel.
Then after some time (& tens of photos), it started to take 100% NORMAL photos again. I've taken about 100 last night over the course of two hours, charged the battery overnight, and taken a bunch this morning - and ALL are normal
This the strangest thing I have ever experienced
Does anyone have any idea what could have happened here? (I have no background in electronics, I am just throwing ideas at the wall)
- Did the faulty battery 'overload' the sensor with static electricity which took some time to dissipate?
- Was there dust on the sensor 'short-circuiting' ?
- Is it on its last legs and I need to prepare for the worst?
