>>4051757Large format shutters are actually where I started to learn camera repair. Almost all of your early shutters like Compur Deckels and Synchro Compurs are all the same basic design, when you get to Copal #00 is where things get difficult. It's doable. The bigger the shutter, the easier it is to work on. These require special grease in many cases especially Copal, to work correctly.
Many prefer the second version the BeLOMO with 4 screws on the front over my GOMZ model with two, but mechanically they are nearly identical.

You can't just use any old grease in many of these cameras. Soviet stuff you can literally get away with Vaseline or anything with Petrolatum but Japanese and German equipment you have to use certain greases that play well with plastic and exotic metals. Shutter speed escapements are a little more liberal with lubricant but still try to get the right thing, my weapon of choice for lube is Japan Hobby Tool.
>>4052209If you actually use your camera, shit happens in the field. I bought my Copal #00 and Schneider 90/8 in good working order and the front lens mount got loose over time, I attempted a CLA and ended up sending it off it's too small forme to work on and I've never worked on a Copal before.
