Sadly, Nicéphore Niépce died in 1833, before seeing his invention reach its full potential. However, he had already started collaborating with another name you might recognize—Louis Daguerre. Daguerre later refined the process and developed the Daguerreotype, which became the first commercially viable photographic method thus kinda cucking Niépce.
Niépce’s contributions to the world of photography may have been overshadowed by others at the time, but his pioneering spirit is what made the first photograph possible.
Without Niépce’s determination to capture light, we wouldn’t have the visual world we take for granted today—from Instagram selfies to professional photo shoots.
