anyways the reason the moon landings were not repeated is because of the massive chance of failure and international embarrassment. the moon landing, in fact, almost did fail, which would have resulted in the moment the astronauts knew they would die alone in space being televised as the video feed was as live as latency would allow. it quickly became evidence that moon landings, and manned spaceflight out of earths orbit in general, were like playing russian roulette with 5 in the cylinder. it's a wonder they even tried a manned mission after all the launch and landing failures between russia's luna landers and america's ranger landers.
all this denialism and butthurt comes from a mixture of fundie christians who refuse to reject the dated firmament theory, and the fact that russians failed to even attempt a manned mission because of difficulty with the N1 rocket.
