The profits should be shared.Pretty much why I gave up shooting randoms, Had TFP work stolen, then realised absolutely hated shooting one-time models
I'd much rather shoot referals or I ask non-models directly to shoot. Most of my best shoots are with people who have never modelled before or even thought about it. You shoot less, but the quality goes up once you learn how to direct people
