>>4380490If the choice is between a 28-70 the size and weight of the 135mm as opposed to a 24-70 f/2 that's either the same or slightly better size/weight of the Canon, then I'd predict 90% of people would choose the smaller 28-70. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony did make a few prototypes of a 24-70 f/2 but axed it due to size, price, and weight. Something like Canon's 28-70 (which is front heavy) would balance far worse on Sony's smaller bodies.
