Finally got around to fixing my F90X. I bought a donor with a bent shutter and battery bay full of corrosion, two years ago. Initially I thought I could just get the display itself out of the ratty camera, but the process stalled with the fear of ruining these flexible PCBs. After pondering further on it, I concluded that it was only sentimental reasons for not just using the whole top from the donor, on my old camera. And so I decided to do last night.
The hardest part was reassembeling that tiny glide switch for the AE-lock, and then I managed to glue the contacts to the microscopic board, rendering the switch disabled. Luckely the glue dissolved with acetone.
Just need some batteries for the MF-26, and I'll load it up with some Velvia 50.
