Is there are a best period for soviet lenses or Russian things general? Going for the Helios 44-2.
Found a good seller with mint condition lenses cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. After unused new old stock ones Belorussian MMZ manufactured are the most expensive and most are either early 1970s or early 1980s. When looking at the paint marking the 80s ones are much sloppier.
90s ones are priced lower so maybe the quality went down. 70s is unclear what the situation was, 80s was the USSR all time high star wars period and 90s implosion.
Left is 1973, right is 1983. Because they are serviced I don't care about condition but if they are held better than other periods. They are cheap but I still would like to get the most interesting one.
