Why shouldn't I want to just use the most average consumer monitor possible? I understand that really good monitors allow for more precise grading, but is something graded on an average screen ever going to look worse on a high-end screen? Is there going to be that much variation? I can't imagine grading to sanctification on my living room TV, then playing it back on a high-end monitor to find that it suddenly looks like shit.
