So I was sitting and looking outside on the shitty weather we have and it struck me, that I neeed to get into the large format. Well fuck, now I'm browsing the offers and I'm about to read some basic info. What I imagine to do with it is landscapes on the slide film. I live near the forest, sea, city, harbor and shipyards. so plenty of stuff to play with, probably photo trips but nothing extreme. It's tempting but also a bit scary that it's too much to handle, I only played with handful of 35mm and Mat 124 but I really liked it so far. I'd like to go bigger than 1:1 MF.
Would $500 be enough for 4x5 camera, film holders, dark tent and some film? I have a good carbon fiber tripod I can metter with my dslr for now. Or it would be wiser to save for Mamiya / Bronica / Fuji in this price range?
