So. With that in mind, does it start up in any shape or form? Do you have any activity on lights, or maybe reaction to the shutter button, etc?
Do you have image on the LCD (shine light at it)?
If you don't have image on LCD or no reaction, it is kinda complicated.
If you do have an image on the LCD, then you've narrowed down the fault to "no backlight". Hence you need to take a look at the backlight circuit. When I was fixing my N1, I think I've seen burnt components on some other nikon on some reddit post, so it can be a somewhat common fault.
If you fail at the repair, you can at least have some fun with a hammer!
