Recently been on a train, travelling cross-country. Had most of my gear with me, stored on one of those shelfs overhead. During a stop I realized my camera bag was gone. Jumped up, quickly checked left and right inside the train, nothing. Ran out of the train, saw some guy in a white shirt with my bag, started yelling and ran after him. He turned around, dropped my bag an ran away.
I just had enough time to grab my bag and quickly jump back into the train. Only seconds later, the train left.
Fucking lucky that I looked up there right in this moment. A minute later and he'd been gone. Potential loss: around 2k €.
Phew.
