>>3213700I see your point but I'm trying to tell a story. As pretentious as it sounds, I think of it more as poetry in that I'm aiming for an artful representation of a state of being. I don't concern much with reasons, as a sort of departure from my own personal outlook on life
I don't see where I'm ignoring disfavourable critique either. I reserve the right to challenge people who are just shitting on my photos, but if someone makes a good point I'm not going to discredit it just because they said something negative about my shots
>>3213806Solid crit, thanks anon
>>3213837Also solid.
I can see where you'd think the framing is cramped in a few of them and that's kind of what I'm going for. Here
>>3213278, for example, I didn't feel it was necessary to include the entirety of the rock on the left or the stalks on the right. This approach leaves a lot of elements kind of jutting in from the sides of the frame with parts of them cut off, or being a little too close to the edge. I get that most won't like it and it oftentimes doesn't work out as I'd like, but it's a nice challenge and it's grown on me
The lack of a clear subject is noted, it's the one thing that's been consistent in the critique I've received
The colours are definitely flat and mostly I'm okay with it. Any wonkiness with hue is error on my part though, and colour correction is something I really need to work on.
I appreciate your thoughts
>>3213857I don't think my photos are quite on the same level as James Joyce's writing, but fair enough point I guess
>>3214063>OP completely misunderstood and misused itPretty much lol
Both buying and shooting it were basically "fuck it, why not moments". I probably won't buy another roll but it was fun to experiment a bit and see what came out of it
