OP here, out taking some test photos. I’ll post them in an hour or two. So far I’m amazed how much I can do with the kit lens. IBIS is incredible, zoom range is nuts. I can do light macro photos all the way out to telephoto. I love how tiny the whole package is. It’s a lot of fun to shoot with. The shutter feels nice, like a rumble in an Xbox controller. If the IQ is decent, I think I’ll make a full switch to Oly.

I have a Pen-F. I might think about the E-M1 sometime in the future for the phase detection and video performance. Though if I ever seriously get into videography, I'd consider Panasonic.

Pretty impressed actually. The high ISO IQ is lacking as expected, and the AF tracking is not as good as I thought it would be. But the size, combined with this tiny, versatile lens, the kit is a lot better than I expected. It's a ton of fun to use too.

I'm saying that for you to get an equivalent picture in FF at that shutter speed you'd have to take it at f/11 and ISO 6400. If you used a larger aperture you'd get a thinner focal plane and maybe part of the squirrel would be out of focus.

I know how big a squirrel is and can tell you right now that a cheap 70-300 would do much better with the squirrel entirely in focus and the background looking nearly identical. With less noise and a higher shutter speed.
