and an apache to top it off.
the lighting for this was unironically taken with 3 SB-600s diffused with my walls and ceiling and it came out underexposed always because they were all set to normal exposure compensation, bad idea.

Your model and background are really similar contrast.
I think your model would pop more with harder light on the model, I PS a sort of equivalent to create a harder light effect.

harder light and more contrast on the model, also that would make the background go a bit darker compared to the model and make it pop more too.

Usually it's best to shoot from the subject's "eye" level. In this case it would add some nice converging lines from the propellers as well and fill up more vertical space. Pic for rough example

I don't, but I just finished building so I tried to take some photos. My small lens has no autofocus so I find it very hard to get the face focussed correctly. Without any lights I tried to use my ring flash for some illumination

This is nice
I need to take pics of gunpla, ironically it's the reason I own a camera to begin with.
I love those diorama style photos in the Dengeki magazines with the little story blurbs.
I remember seeing some really neat ones for Gundam sentinel way back.

Thanks. I had taken a bunch of pics and made a little story, but I had them stored on my phone and accidentally sent that phone through the wash. :(

You need more "depth" to your images anon.

Use a longer focal length, lower point of view, and then use some focal trick to add depth. Also play with lights to create a more dynamic scene instead of generic flat overhead lighting
