There are two photographic styles on /p/ i think
Normal, and pixel peeper aka gear normie and gear nerd
Normal photos look good instantly
Pixel peeper photos are of nothing and work more like i-spy games. The point of a pixel peeper photo is to notice something, look closely, and go “oh that’s neat”.
Pixel peeping photographers tend to use more saturation and vibrance to make small things stand out as they grow out of using bokeh to emphasize what they want to zoom in on. Normal photographers tend to avoid oversaturation unless it really fits the whole scene.
