Benoit and Eddie at XX was the one designed to send the hardcores home happy. Bret actually got a shot at being the face of the company, mainly because Vince needed someone who wasn't a roid guy. Bryan is in-between these because while he wasn't going to get an actual shot at being the top guy the whole company had become focused on him and they needed the payoff.
