>The new TV deal is done, it was signed and completed this weekend. AEW wants to announce it on Dynamite this week since it’s the week before the Olympics and will be the biggest audience they’ll have until the Olympics ends.
>They’re planning a “hijacking of the announcement” bit, where Tony Khan appears to announce it but the Elite “take over” the segment and attribute the TV deal to their success as EVPs. Similar to previous segments with Jay White and the Forbidden Door announcement.
>The deal is big, Tony Khan is ecstatic about the whole thing and it’s going to make a lot of people in AEW a lot of money. It’s also going to make a lot of people only go completely insane bending over backwards to try and make it seem like a bad thing.
