Know how you could've pulled it off?
Make a few made up waifus. Had them die. Establish a mystery. There's even a fucking detective on the roster. Then, bit by bit, ignoring any complaints and just moving along, you'd build the reveal well enough- even have people guessing. People like Poppit. Hell, if you hadn't been such a sperg about all this and hyped it to fuck, even I would've been amused by the reveal despite all the drama.
And I know it would've been a lot of work to make up disposable waifus, but let me ask you: Would it really have taken ANY more effort than all the bitching?
No. It wouldn't have.
