Per Ibou of Wrestlepurists:
>It’s no secret that most professional wrestlers are fiends or, at the very least, have a professional relationship with each other. However, it appears this friendship may have gotten several top WWE stars into hot water this weekend.
>Under HHH, WWE contracted talent is asked not to discuss AEW or to mention watching it. This became an issue with Dragon Lee early in his NXT run, as he would repeatedly watch episodes of AEW at the Performance Center, despite protests from talent like Tomasso Ciampa and Seth Rollins.
>For the 2024 edition of Forbidden Door about a dozen WWE stars including Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens, Dragon Lee, and Karrion Kris’s attended a party hosted by Sami Zayn. We’re told that this irked another “huge name”, who was not invited to this party, who proceeded to inform HHH of the party.
>HHH was supposedly “disappointed” but not angry at the talent, telling them that WWE had opened its own Forbidden Door with TNA and that that should be a “priority”. The unnamed talent also said that he didn’t approve of anyone watching AEW as it “was a tacit approval of the competition”, and that it was “hurting business to support the Elite in any financial way”.
>We are also being told that everyone at the party is being “cooled off” right now as HHH took the slight very personally.
