>How My View of Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling Changed>I owe an apology. I underestimated Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. You might be wondering why I’m suddenly bringing this up, but I have a good reason.>On 25 January 2025, I went to see a Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (hereafter TJPW or Tojo) event for the first time. TJPW, like DDT, is run by CyberFight. While watching DDT events, I’d had several opportunities to see matches featuring TJPW wrestlers. Who was the first wrestler I saw? I think the first one whose name and face I remembered was Ito-chan. Then came Yamashita. I had always thought that I’d like to go to a TJPW event someday. But I never actually went.>The reason is simple: I knew that if I went, it would be “over.” I hate to say it about myself, but I get obsessed easily—and lose interest just as quickly. Looking back on my life, there have been plenty of things I was into for only a week, and if I stuck with something for six months, that was considered a long time. I had only been watching pro wrestling for a few months. The fact that I had been going to DDT shows for over six months and continuing to support KANON and DAMNATION T.A. was almost a miracle in itself. On top of that, whenever I found a new favourite, my passion for my previous ones would often fade just as quickly. Being the kind of person who drifts from one thing to another, I knew that once I set foot in a new world, it would be over.>It was a sort of self-imposed safety measure. That’s why I never went. There had been plenty of female wrestlers I found interesting, but I always came up with reasons not to go. And yet, suddenly, I found myself at a TJPW event.>The reason? Simple—and, honestly, quite shallow. Toga’s post hit me right in the heart, and I just couldn’t resist.
