>Saya Kamitani (27), the "false phoenix" of the women's professional wrestling group Stardom, has been making a string of abusive remarks. She made a surprise join to the villainous group HATE at the Sapporo tournament on July 28th. In her first match after her fall to the dark side at the Hamamatsu tournament on the 4th, she said goodbye to her former "Queen's Quest (QQ)" members in a rough fight full of foul play. What on earth is she trying to do? We interviewed Kamitani, who is currently the center of controversy.
>Kamitani, who debuted on August 10, 2019, was crowned the Wonder Champion for the first time in December 2021. She set a new record for the most consecutive defenses of the title with 15 titles, and has been on the road to stardom in the organization, but she fell into obscurity just before her sixth year since her debut.
>On the 3rd, she appeared in a black outfit at the press conference and refused to answer the reporters' questions, saying, "Shut up, shit!" At the Hamamatsu tournament on the 4th, she grabbed AZM and Miyu Amasaki by the hair and repeatedly stomped on their face. She also said "goodbye forever" to the former QQ members who had shared their good times and bad times with her, completely breaking away from them.
>Where has the Kamitani of "those days" gone? When I timidly approached her, she glared at me listlessly and said, "What's this? You're always annoying me. You asked stupid questions at the last press conference too, what's up with that?" Although she was annoyed by the reporters who patiently continued to ask her questions, she reluctantly agreed to the interview and, looking at her claws, said, "This is the Phenex Queen," as she looked back on her first match after joining the hate group. Phenex is Kamitani's nickname for the Phoenix demon. When asked about the Queen, she looked away and said, "...it doesn't mean anything in particular."
