What was so special about Shawn to Vince by that time?
Shawn wasn't a family member, or a long-term close friend at that point
He wasn't one of the big or muscular guys that Vince obsessed over for top guy positions like Luger or Nash
He wasn't some locker room leader like Undertaker, who helped keep things in check in the back
He wasn't anywhere near a significant draw as a solo star like Hogan was
He had no significant sponsor deal like Macho Man (Slim Jim)
And Vince has never been known to show extreme favoritism towards anyone just for being a damn good wrestler in the ring (Bret Hart alone is proof of that), so that can't be it
So.....what the fuck was it, if not a romance thing?
