In some scenarios, or with some characters (Ishii and Shibata being great examples) no-selling works perfectly, but 25 mintues and 200 chops into a match you want to show that your opponent's done some damage. They do plenty of the no-selling at first. Harder to do when you're both purple, I imagine.
