Where 15 years ago indies guys took a lot of pride being able to execute crazy spots, or the Dragon Gate guys train non stop on developing the chemistry necessary to pull off seamless fast paced action. Today it's more about that you tried to do something, you had an idea and you tried it so good for you.
I think this attitude mainly from 2 places, they're exWWE fans and don't have the experience to know the difference between being different from the WWE and actually being good. And the other is that a lot of these guys are internet personalities and people form parasocial relationships with them so that's not just a wrestler out there, it's their friend and they are going to defend and justify all their botches.
