Tony Khan booked them to team together because all these asshole were fighting with each other to close the show. For all we know, Mox's faction is just going to leave Jericho high and dry during the end of the match so they can have "another" pissed off faction going after Mox. I wouldn't have booked, but it's not illogical.

>NOW he's going after jon moxley for the AEW belt
>but before that match happens, let's book him in a 12-man garbage match on a show that happens AFTER his title match, further cementing that he wasn't winning it in the first
Tony Khan is an actual booking terrorist, and it's going to be further cemented when Hobbs goes after Jericho's ROH title after all of this.
