a lot of old wrestling stories might have been "fuck you, "no fuck YOU" but the characters in them were more interesting to see interact and bounce off each other. i'd much rather watch someone energetic and fun to watch like a Hogan or an Austin do a straightforward 1-on-1 "YEAH WELL I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS" story over the course of a couple weeks than watch some slow burn complex storyline unfold night after night for years between some boring-ass motherfuckers like Cody versus a bunch of Dwayne Johnson's nepo-hire family members. Heyman's the only guy involved who can go on the mic.
