Ryback Opens Up About His Drug Use

No.5335753 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Ryback spoke on his podcast "The Ryback Show" about his early morning, drug-induced, wrestling-centric adventures. He said the following:

>"I have to say, I’m a drug guy, so for me, I kind of get a little sleepy if I don’t take it [a specific drug]. So I did some of that shit, and I found that I felt better, I felt more awake, and then I had these people working for me who were my friends and family and who wanted to help me do something."

>"So, they made this thing for me. And it was a combination of some kind of opiates and some kind of benzos and some kind of stimulant. I don’t even know what was in it, but it was really effective. I felt good when I took it. I felt really awake. Weird. But I felt really awake. And I used to call people, I’d say, “Can you come over? We’re gonna watch TV.”

>"I’d take this stuff, and I could not wait for them to get there I’d be standing in my house with a remote control waiting for somebody to get there, and the way I’d know they were there was just my phone would start ringing. I couldn’t even answer the phone because I was in this weird zone, but I knew somebody was there and that I could let them in the door and show them around the house and let them go do their thing. I used to be able to tell just by looking at them when they were high. This is what you’re doing, but you’re doing this weird thing. It was weird. It was weird."

If this is true, it was very weird. Even if it’s not, this is a fascinating story about the power of drugs to affect the actions of even the hardest people.
