Well, typically in romance manga, anime, and other media, we’d be going to a bar or restaurant, probably one that doesn’t mind kids since she wanted you to come, but it sounds like we’re eating at her house tonight. She must be taking care of family in that case, since we seem to be skipping the first step.
"Oh! You think mom has another family? Maybe I'll be a big sister." She says, proudly.
Anyways, we should try to get some nice clothes for you, and see if my date clothes still fit. Been a few years since I put myself out on the market…
"So, back to the department store?" She asks.
You shrug and say you aren't sure where else to get clothes. You open the fridge and take out your phone, and begin to look for breakfast foods, finding something called "Gilgeori Toast" is trending. It looks tasty, and it's surprisingly easy to make.
You whip up three, and after you and Tamako enjoy yours you set off to the community center's playground.
As it's still early morning, there is no one else around. You head over to the bench where they attempted to steal your groceries, but spot no tiny bearded men among the dew drenched grass.
"What's this?" Tamako says, pointing at a patch of ground nearby.
You didn't notice it before, but it's glowing. Approaching it, you spot what appears to be a string on the ground along with a note. You take them up.
The braid is made up of a bit of purple, red, yellow, violet, and green pieces of cloth. It's glow softly fades away at your touch.
The note reads:
"Found our way back. Burn the rope if you need us. Give the food to the dog."
Dog?
You look around, and as if on queue you spot a golden retriever approach you from out of the bushes. It has a collar, and you are pretty sure it belongs to one of your neighbors.
"A puppy!" Tamako says as it approaches, giving the dog a lot of pets.
You hold the sandwich out to the dog, and thank him, making sure to tell him he's a good boy.
The dog gives Tamako's face a big lick, politely takes the sandwich into it's mouth, and gives you a small nod before walking off with it's tail wagging.
"Hey, can we get a dog?"
