As cool as a big monster would have been, you are quite happy with how she turned out. It's not like you were trying to turn her into anything in particular. You didn't even know what she was at first, so you were just kind of winging it.
"I mean, it's not too late." Hilde says grinning."Get her to grow some claws or a wicked pair of horns, or something!"
"Check it out, Dad!" Tamako says, returning from the vending machines with a large bowl. "It's not ramen, but it'll do!"
From what you can tell it's a soup of long, thick noodles with a sizeable rectangle of fried tofu. It seems fine, so you let her eat it. As you two finish up your food, a large figure catches your eye who you recognize immediately. Kamiko and Zul walkinto the cafeteria, and spotting you, start to walk over.
Hilde, who has her back to the approaching fairies and is still talking anime to your daughter says, "But yeah! I know this really cool anime you might like. It has shapeshifters, just like you, except they are parasitic creatures. It's about aliens, and one ends up in the protagonists right hand. He starts to meet up with other aliens and-"
Reaching out her long muscular arms, Kamiko grabs Hilde by the top of her head and pulls it off. You are quite shocked by this act of violence until you notice a pair of small legs flailing around where her neck would be.
"W-what they heck?" The robot says, still kicking around. "How dare you! And in front of the human! I'll get you back for this! Exterminate! Exterminate!"
"You will not show her that anime, got it?" The colossal woman says pointedly.
"EXTERMI- Ow, ow! Okay! I promise, alright? Quit squeezing, you are going to crack my screen!" the bipedal head replies.
Hilde is allowed to connect back to her body while Kamiko and Zul go to grab something from the machines. Kamiko returns with some rice wine, and Zul with what looks like a chunk of green swiss cheese.
"We have your accommodations figured out." Zul says, sliding over a keycard reading '403'. "You'll be starting tomorrow, so maybe call it an early day and get some rest. Don't worry though, we'll give you an easy first mission.
"If we're lucky, we'll get a children's cautionary tale." Kamiko says smiling. "Those are always pretty safe."
"Boooring... Do I have to come?" Hilde says, sitting more upright now that her head is reattached.
"Yes. In fact I'll be coming as well. It'll be the five of us" Zul says sipping her coffee, and motioning to you and Tamako continues,. "I want to observe these two."
