The noise from Komodo's comms prompts the pilot within to attempt some kind of reply. A sharp whining sound can be heard in most other mechs-- a whistle, then more static. Eventually, after a loud pop, something clearly comes through.
>>6452666The loud proclamations of cotton eyes and lizard things confuse the pilot briefly-- mumblings and repetitions are the first things to be heard from the cockpit, but are soon joined by words! Real words. Real words, spoken by that same raspy voice from before.
"...hello. Sorry-- seems I've only gotten my comms to work just now. Radiation must be interfering with them somehow," the pilot pauses to cough.
"I'm no lizard thing, stranger. Just a man from orbit in need of a job. Certainly not from Earth."
More static interferes with what comes next, and an angry grumble follows it minutes later. "It's still giving me some trouble. I'll have to work that out later."
>>6452831A second voice appeared soon after, so the pilot shifted his attention appropriately. An invitation to leave his mech...?
"Don't know about any Sailor, here." The pilot grumbled again, tapping something and prompting another round of static across his comms. "Think I've got the problem. I'll see if I can sort it out."
Despite the lack of reply to Ruin's invitation, anyone looking towards Komodo might see a slightly clearer windshield in the cockpit. No longer shaded to the point of obscurity, anyone still watching could now see what seemed to be some sort of specialized space suit tinkering with Komodo's control panel.
