Unbroken lines of tracer fire intersect behind the REDLINE mechs as they advance. Maneuvering, they strafe through a manufacturing floor. Your pilots track with their weapons and decimate nearly a square kilometer of conveyors, distributors, and other assorted forge equipment. The constant drone of rotary cannon fire thunders through the complex; your camera feed warps and shimmers from accumulated heat-discharge.
Neither of the prototypes complete their attack. The first unit - intent on catching KERBEROS during an untimely reload - misjudges its approach and charges headfirst into a pair of spooling rotary cannons. In less than five seconds, KERBEROS puts several hundreds explosive-tipped shells into the advancing prototype. A chain of explosisions saws through its midsection before a critical generator explosion cores the crippled frame. The second unit maneuvers to flank SNOWMAN but almost immediately takes a hit from a second metallic hydrogen slug. This time, there is no shield to serve as a buffer: the hyperdense projectile penetrates the prototype's armor, blows out an arm actuator, and exits in a shower of burning metal. The damaged frame tumbles, barely righting itself before mustering the generator output to perform one final, desperate attack.
Outside of the forge complex, a massive detonation shakes the Martian crust as the remainder of your forces bring down the second elevator hub. This time, one of your more reckless mercenaries succeeds in severing the mammoth support-cables responsible for holding the hub in place. The entire structure collapses in a rather dramatic manner, with the sparking elevator cable itself whipping back upwards from residual tension. GCC wastes no time in certifying the completion of your contracts. The overly-casual representative in charge of your contract forwards your the completion notice to your data as soon as he receives the orbital image capture.
That said, your company still had some time before the forward elements of the SHIN-RAI quick-reaction force was slated to make landfall. The depot was big, and much of it was still technically intact. Several of your mercenaries begin tagging wrecks for caryall drone retrieval, while the remainder start pinging the sprawling complex with their search radars. CORVID detects some kind of stockade that your infantry company - now seemingly tired of target-painting - is more than willing to breach, provided that one or two of your mercenaries was willing to provide direct fire support. Another one of your mercenaries spots an ultralight mech lingering around the border of the SHIN-RAI perimeter. The unit broadcasts a MOCA ID code but otherwise refuses to respond to your comm requests. It was unusual, but you felt certain that your company was on solid footing with MOCA, at least relatively speaking, after fulfilling two contracts for the laconic AI.
