The Ship ride is rocky and the travel is long.
Soon, there is land, followed by shuffling of feet and boarding of a small, claustrophobic carriage. A tiny hateful trip amongst armor-clad men, none knowable, only hushed whispers and doomed prayers fill the silence of the horse-drawn cart. First it is darkness, then a clacking of hard dirt and soil underneath the cart. Then- a fog, thicker and more smoggy than any fog you’ve ever known, that tinges your eyes and tickles the inside of your throat. The eastern nobilities could have never prepared you for this.
You are let off in the thickest fog of a ratty, old Rondonian field. No place can be seen from here, it is a portent of things to come; things empty and rotten and abandoned. To the north, there is a grand structure, one that houses torment and death, rotting skulls and deep bellowing screams that reach no human ears. Softly, you grab hold of your holy robes, the only thing keeping you from running back to the Eastern Sanctuaries.
You begin to feel the pangs of… something.
