None of this is really news, even in my memory the concept of multipolarity, le monde multipolaire etc dates back to at least Jacques Chirac. I had been reading some of Zoltan Pozsar's research notes, and just decided to weave it into my worldbuilding, as a sign of the times.
If you are familiar with Norse mythology or I believe have even played the newer God Of War games (unfortunately I have not played the latest Viking one) the Moongarm name was perhaps also an important clue too, hehe
