As you go through this manhole, you reflect back to the time you thought you were escaping a prison. Sensible times. Now you have to play a dumb game of your choosing down in Fire Field. You guess sinners like you can’t escape hell.
At the circular area that connects all the hallways in Fire Field, you stand on a magical podium made by the Judge Bird. It’s transparent with a dim blue light, same as the Magical Game Board you’re using. On it, you have the high ground to look at the prisoners. It would’ve been better if you used Quye’s watchtower, but the big jerk refused to lend it. Maybe he has embarrassing photos in there, like his girlfriend’s picture on his locker’s door. Saying he has a girlfriend is already a stretch to you, but you never know!
The Prisoners (and some volunteers) were already waiting, talking among themselves — not specially surprised, but certainly annoyed at the prospect. It’s a regular occurrence for many. You wonder what gives, maybe the fact they are handcuffed.
As everyone’s attention is gathered to the podium, your magical board updates with everyone’s pictures. The names match the people you were expecting, now it’s time to get everyone on the same page.
Quye introduces the rules dryly and succinctly. He’s used to speaking down to people and that’s not going to change. Awfully nice to do it instead of the bird, perhaps he wants to get this over with as quickly as humanly possible, he has no idea he’s facing you — if there’s something you learned the last few days is that you can last a long ass time doing something!
“Questions. Now.” Quye follows the bird’s guidelines. Some people raise their hands.
“We got it, we’re playin’ another of the creep girl’s games. Whatever.” Prisoner Gregory shrugs, he’s as enthusiastic as the warden about this.
“Error. Your statement is incorrect. I’m NOT behind this.” The Warden Annelien shakes her head. Creepy looking lady. “Eager to participate, regardless.” She loves games! Bubbles confirms she’s the one who is controlling the Behemoth. You see a dark flame around her hips.
“Huh?! What?!” A good portion of the prisoners are surprised.
“I said questions.” Quye wants to move on. He randomly gives a certain special someone the stage.
“Yes, I have an inquiry.” Judith had her hand raised still. “I was about to step outside. Did I get teleported here?”
The Birdy Bird chirps and nods.
“Ah. What a lovely specimen.” Judith snaps a picture of the bird. The bird poses accordingly. “Did you intend to say ‘yes,’ my feathered friend?”
The Birdy Bird tweets. That doesn’t really answer anything.
“Move on.” Quye wants to move things along.
