As you and Tamako look through dresses for her to wear, you catch someone looking at you.
It's the same shopkeeper from yesterday, and she's eyeing you and your daughter. You try to ignore her, and tell Tamako to just pick out what she likes, and then she can go try them on to see what is the best.
After the changeling grabs an arm full of dresses, you approach the shopkeeper and ask if you can use the changing rooms. She leads you silently to the booths and allows Tamako inside.
While she changes you wait on a chair set outside the stations. Behind a nearby register stands the shopkeeper. You try to start up a conversation, mentioning that you are going on a dinner date and your daughter is coming along, and if you think anything she picked was good.
She pauses for only a moment before saying, "Yes... Honestly at her age anything she wears will probably be adorable."
You say you wish you had her sense of fashion. You are here to pick out something for yourself as well. What do people where on dates nowadays? Nice shirt and tie? Slacks?
"Oh honey, let me help you." The shopkeeper says with a sigh and despite her obvious wariness.
Tamako ends up choosing a sky blue dress with white embroidery of flowers set around it. The shopkeeper was right. She is quite adorable.
The shopkeeper and Tamako ultimately pick out a pair of tan jeans, a collared white undershirt with a sage green long sleeve atop it. It honestly doesn't seem that fancy looking to you, but both the ladies say you look great.
