It was not every day you were sent on a mission like this... Most of the time you were called to deal with some kind of local threat, Some bureaucrat or oligarch telling you about a small scale rebellion which was treated like 'just some random local security threat'. You'd kill some people, you and your men got paid, and you would be hired elsewhere for similar work by equally shady folks. Now though, you were called in along with several other Death Squads for a huge cleansing operation with 'unknown, high-risk threats' as your opponent. And not only were it not the standard contractors who called you over this time. No, this time it was obvious that the actual galaxy-wide government had contacted you and your men. Bit odd given that some parts of the government 'wanted' to squash death squad activities... but hey, it seemed someone was needed to do the government's dirty work.
The only thing you were told as you were let into that unmarked, secretive spacecraft was that whatever happened during this mission would NEVER be allowed to be discussed once you were done with the mission.
After swiftly accepting, you and your men entered the spacecraft and hyper-jumped to the mysterious planet you had heard so many rumours about. It looked... rather peaceful and quaint, like a resort planet reserved for high ranking officials. Yet, you already could tell something huge was going on. There were numerous capital ships in orbit, dozens of check-ups as you reached the quarantine line around the planet. It seemed everything which came to or left the planet was checked up most thoroughly. Most importantly, once you headed down to the planet, you saw where you were heading... a black speck in the middle of a large deep blue ocean. A black spot which looked almost like a volcano from orbit. Though as your ship went down to the surface of the planet, you quickly realised that it wasn't a volcano. Not even close.
Several death squads had been hired for this job. Guess the government needed as many types of clandestine, private military forces to deal with this unknown threat. Which brings us to the first key question:
which death squad were you a part of?[i/]
