>>5346034"You're aware of the Unseen Hand?" Schierke gasps. "It's a vagrant spirit, Master Flora has attempted to keep it sealed multiple times, yet it always finds a way to disappear. Every now and then I find it helping townsfolk in minor squabbles when I'm astral projecting, but for some reason, it always returns to our mansion."
"An unseen hand... Yes! I do remember seeing one! When I tried to do a handstand as Zhafira, and fell through a glass panel. I should have been cut to pieces from the fall, yet I remember a hand catching those shards and saving me from most of the damage. No one believed me when I told them, but the hand kept responding to my commands when I told it to."
"Perhaps it was waiting for you. While it can produce silk from seemingly thin air, it appears that it makes a direct connection with the energy of the Daimon layer of the astral world to make a nearly intangible barrier to protect it's user. Not only is it able to perfurate through attackers, but it creates walls, pathways and shapes to deflect damage from anyone it pleases. Observe!"
"...You sure I can hit her?" Serpico seems unwilling to strike at Cindy despite Schierke's gestures.
"Let me do it then! HAI-YAAH!" He chucks his dagger at her direction. As the tailor flinched, the dagger was seemingly held and thrown into the floor, with a single string being able to block it's fire fiery afterburn from reaching Cindy's skin.
"What happened? I didn't see anything!"
"It wouldn't be the unseen hand if everyone could see it, would it?" Puck shrugs.
The Daimon layer is in such a complex dimension of the astral world that only advanced magicians should see it's hand. Yet for commonfolk, the tailor willingly chooses a user to see him, even if they do not believe in magic."
The string wrapped itself onto Cindy's metallic hand and remained between her fingers. Resting alongside her as the giant hand coiled itself around her.
"This feels a bit too powerful to remain with a simple girl like me, but if the tailor chose me, than I'll try to meet his expectations."
"The efficacy of this magic realized by your faith in their powers, they don't depend on you to work, so be sure to appreciate them." Schierke warns as the team gets accostumed to their weapons.
"I hope we can work well together, sylphs."
"Hell yeah, fire lizards!"
"Next, for Guts, I have this Axe that can--"
"Don't need it." He blunty refuses.
"C-Come again?!"
"I want to take into battle what my hands know best." He brandishes the Dragonslayer to the witch, who confusedly turns around to make you an offer.
"Well... I was planning on giving you something else, but since he doesn't want it... What do you say, Vlad?" Schierke shows the axe to you.
>What does it do?>Axes aren't my thing, no thanks.>What else did you have in store for me?>It's somewhat similar to a halberd, I guess I could dual weild it?>You could always give it to Casca.>Write-in.
