>>5316254Leaving the two back at the platform I return to investigate some more interesting parts of this dark lord's army, in my Dealmaker persona of course.
Firstly the KruKaši whose body was corrupted by dark magic. I have never heard of dark magic having this big of an effect on someone outside of myself. And the added bonus of learning more about his little suicide bombing creations would be interesting.
Finding the building he was described residing in was easy. It was seemingly the highest quality building in the small military town. Made of finely cut darkstone and other fine materials.
Entering inside through the front door without alerting the others, it doesn't take me long to find them. Inside a well lit room, the Corrupt KruKaši was using rather strong magic to manipulate and weave flesh to create one of its creatures. After it made the outer body, it pulled some of those partially magic organs from an enchanted icebox. Watching it set them into place and finding a way to connect it all together was like watching a toy maker weave a doll together. It seems to then finish it off by placing its hand upon the creature's head and canting a spell of some kind which brings the creature to life. The KruKaši orders it to go outside with the others.
As the corrupt KruKaši prepares for making another creature I make my appearance in the shadows.
"Greetings." All of its heads and eyes snap onto my mask floating in the shadows.
"Who are you?! You are intruding in my workshop!" It demands, multiple heads repeating its words.
"Do not worry. I am a servant of the dark lord like yourself. I have recently come under his employ and I am just familiarizing myself with the army. You may call me Dealmaker." I raise one of my shadowed hands into the light. Offering a handshake.
"..." after a moment of silence it grabs my hand and accepts the handshake.
"I am Baltikar. A practitioner of the dark arts, but that would have been an obvious guess from my appearance alone. Say Dealmaker, are you perhaps also a being of dark magic? I can see it radiating from you." He introduced himself and asked a question.
"Well yes. I am a demon. A demon that has lived quite a long time. But sometimes there are things that surprise me. The creatures you produce. I have seen one battle a rather strong warrior till its very explosive end, a rather well made shock and awe weapon."
"The BloodHounds? Well yes, I have designed them to utilize everything they can. An embodiment of brute force to use against our enemies. You must have seen some of the hounds I released to cause minor chaos within the kingdoms." I nod.
"Indeed they did stir some trouble. But I am more interested in you, Baltikar. I avoid KruKaši lands for obvious reasons, so I have never seen what dark magic does to your kind." He is hesitant to answer my question. Taking a long moment of silence to gather his answers.
